Hit a Home Run

Fazzolari Construction brings a coach’s knowledge and support to every project.

Seasoned Pacific Northwest builder John Fazzolari and his team at Fazzolari Construction know a thing or two about custom home construction — and baseball. Three key players of the company’s team have 64 years, combined professional coaching or recreational coaching credentials in addition to their 66 combined years of residential construction. These team members bring their coaching skills to the job — including empathy, strong communication skills, and a positive rapport with others. Beginning with a philosophy of customer service, Fazzolari Construction covers all the bases, from complete design-build custom home projects to major renovations.

No two games are alike — no two homes are alike Just like in baseball and life, no two experiences are identical. The Fazzolari team takes the term “custom” to heart and approaches each home and remodel with a blank slate and open mind. With a background in architectural design, Fazzolari embraces the opportunity to build in all styles, aligning a custom home or remodeling plan with his client’s tastes and aspirations. “I became a custom home builder because of my love for the uniqueness of every project,” says Fazzolari. “Different styles are what excite us — we’ve never built the same house or done the same remodel twice. As a true custom builder, we are meeting each individual client where they are at, including their unique and individual expectations.”

Recent Projects Span the Field of Style

Fazzolari recently completed a full design- to-execution luxury home near the Columbia River. Fazzolari honored the client’s wish for a traditional design that still feels current by expertly blending modern and classic design elements. The small lot demanded a flexible and innovative approach to home positioning to maximize space.

The team’s renovation of a PNW contemporary home is on the other side of the spectrum. The unique property was innovative when built in the 1980s but had become kitschy and dated by modern sensibilities. Using the client’s extensive art collection as a home base, Fazzolari brought the property back to life. Clean lines, a dramatic increase in natural-light opportunities, and an improved flow were the ticket to creating a home that is equal parts warmly inhabitable and visual showstopper.

Service for Rookies and Pros

Fazzolari is comfortable working with clients who want a full-service experience from the ground up or as the executor of fully formed ideas. For the Columbia River project, the Fazzolari team was brought on from the very beginning. Acting as consultants for the land purchase, they worked closely through the design, construction and landscaping process. “When a client has no experience building a custom home or doing a remodel, we can coach them through each step so they can feel confident in their decision-making,” says Fazzolari.

For the 1980s contemporary remodel, the clients — graphic artists and designers — had strong opinions and ideas about what they wanted to accomplish. “In this case, we were inspired by the challenge to apply our exacting standards to their clear vision. Our experience helps us coach clients with understanding the remodeling process and work-flows, resulting in realistic expectations that create a positive experience.”

“It’s our commitment to a team approach, amongst each other and between our clients and subcontractors, that sets the tone for a well-played project — one where everyone comes out a winner,” says Fazzolari. “As we like to say, ‘It’s not just a house, it’s where you head after rounding third.’”
