The Pink Swan Project

By Lora Coburn

Following up on their successful Pink Wishbone Project, SUITE New York has launched it’s second year benefit, The Pink Swan Project. I have to tell you, when I first saw these chairs, I thought I had died and gone to heaven. Not only has SUITE gotten nineteen fabulous designers to put their own spin on the classic Swan Chair, but they are just so darn pretty. For the entire month of October, National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, SUITE New York will be auctioning off these amazing chairs, with 80% of the proceeds going to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation. So, in a nutshell, you donate to a very worthy cause and you get a seriously beautiful, one-of-a-kind chair by a famous designer. It’s a win, win!

As difficult as it is to pick a favorite, this is probably it for me. Although, not shocking. Windsor Smith’s designs are always at the top of my list. Swan Chair Designed by Windsor Smith

Without a doubt, this chair reminds me of Black Swan. I can just see evil Natalie Portman with her red eyes now. Swan Chair Designed by Jamie Drake

I would expect nothing less from the Creative Director of Barney’s. Bravo! Swan Chair Designed by Simon Doonan

The little flitter in the back is great. Standard Missoni awesomeness. Swan Chair Designed byMargherita Maccapani Missoni

This was another one of my top chair picks. The varying sizes and colors of ribbon are wonderful. Swan Chair Designed by Vicente Wolf
